Piri Piri Fish Curry (using Piri Piri Blend)

(Serves 4)

Marinade Ingredients :

  • 2 full teaspoons Screaming Seeds “Piri Piri Blend”
  • 1 teaspoon ketchup manis
  • 1 dessertspoon olive oil
  • ½ cup mirin
  • 4 decent sized fillets of Rockling, or any other firm white fish – fillets sliced in ½
  • A little extra olive oil for sautéing

Ingredients :

  • 1 dessertspoon olive oil
  • 1 knob of butter
  • 2 teaspoons Screaming Seeds “Piri Piri Blend”
  • Juice of 3 lemons
  • 200ml can coconut milk
  • 6 cherry tomatoes – halved
  • 1 cup your favourite herbs ie: mint, Vietnamese mint, dill, coriander, parsely


  1. In a bowl, combine all “marinade” ingredients then place fish pieces in this mix, coating well
  2. Marinade for 1-2 hours – overnight would be preferred
  3. Then, in olive oil, gently saute fish on both sides in a large frying pan on low heat with lid on, until fish is cooked – set aside
  4. In another large saucepan, place the next 5 ingredients bringing to a simmer.  Simmer gently for 20 minutes
  5. Pour the coconut mixture over cooked fish, adding tomatoes & heat through gently
  6. Just before serving add fresh herbs….

To Serve: Serve with roti bread, rice or couscous & natural yoghurt
