Mock Thai Stir Fry (using Caribbean Chilli)

  • 300 g beef, lamb, chicken, fish or tofu, cut into thin strips
  • 2 teaspoons Screaming Seeds ‘Caribbean Chilli’
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup beef or chicken stock
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables, cut into thin strips
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce


  1. Sprinkle meat (or tofu) with Screaming Seeds ‘Caribbean Chilli’ and let stand for 15 minutes
  2. Heat oil in a wok over medium/high heat.  Stir fry meat (or tofu) for 5 minutes.  Reduce heat, add stock and simmer for 20 minutes
  3. Increase heat and add vegetables (harder vegetables like carrot first and softer ones like mushrooms last).  Stir fry until tender
  4. Reduce heat and add sauces

Serving Suggestion: Delicious served with basmati or jasmine rice.

....  For this recipe, if I don't have  'Caribbean Chilli' in my pantry, what other SCREAMING SEEDS spice blend could I use instead?
