Spiced Potatoes (using Bengal 5 Spice)

”Try this. This recipe is great reheated!!”


  • 1 kg washed potatoes, cut into small cubes
  • 1 tablespoon ghee
  • 3–4 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 4–5 tablespoons Screaming Seeds ‘Bengal 5 Spice’
  • ½ cup lemon juice


  1. Microwave potatoes for approximately 5 minutes on high
  2. Heat ghee in wok and add garlic, minced ginger and Screaming Seeds ‘Bengal 5 Spice’
  3. Toast spice until it pops
  4. Turn up heat and add potatoes, brown until just soft
  5. Add lemon juice and stir through vigorously
  6. Turn off heat and serve as main course or side dish

....  For this recipe, if I don't have  'Bengal 5 Spice' in my pantry, what other SCREAMING SEEDS spice blend could I use instead?
