“A spicy and full flavoured taste sensation for the humble pasta sauce...”
Ingredients:
1 tablespoons olive oil 2 large onions sliced 2–3 garlic cloves, finely chopped 2–3 teaspoons Screaming Seeds ‘Caribbean Chilli’ 1 x 440 g can peeled tomatoes, diced 1 cup red or white wine 1 large (or 2 small) stock cube 1 teaspoon sugar 1 teaspoon each sea salt and black pepper
Method:
Sauté onions and garlic in olive oil till soft
Add Screaming Seeds ‘Caribbean Chilli’ and sauté a further 5 minutes
Add tomatoes and red or white wine, stock cube, sugar and salt/pepper
Simmer gently for 1–2 hours and add more liquid if required
Serving Suggestions:
Serve over noodles/pasta
You may add 400 g of seafood, fish, chicken, or tofu in the last 45 minutes of simmering, or simply serve as a spicy salsa
Add more chilli if you prefer a spicier flavour …
