“This dish can be made with cooked meat. In this case cook for 25 minutes only.”
Ingredients:
700 g minced beef 1 thick slice bread (about 110 g) 275 ml milk 2 onions, sliced 2 small eggs 2 teaspoons Screaming Seeds ‘Outback Blend’ 2 teaspoons sugar 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vinegar or lemon juice 1 tablespoon olive oil a few almonds, chopped
Method:
Put bread into a dish, pour over the milk and let stand for 15 minutes. Then pour off and keep any milk that has not been absorbed
Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the onions until soft. Then add the Screaming Seeds ‘Outback Blend’, sugar, salt, vinegar or lemon juice and mix thoroughly
Beat the bread until very soft then add to the fried onion mixture together with the meat, almonds and one of the eggs
Place the mixture into the bottom of a well-greased oven dish
Beat the second egg, add the milk reserved from soaking the bread and pour over the meat
Cook for 30 minutes in the middle of a moderately hot oven (200°C). Reduce the heat to 180°C and cook for a further 30 minutes
